Gnarled roots and branches intertwine into each other. Not a speck of sunlight reaches the forest floor. Only at night do an eerie fungus light up the darkened trail. But be warned, it is said that ghost and goblins lurk in the shadows. And a peculiar scratching sound comes from the darker parts of the forest...

Craggy peaks coated in moss are sprinkled throughout this difficult wooded terrain. Leaves coat the area in perennial shade - small caves abound. It is an ideal habitat for wolves, although a single human hermit does live in these woods.

The lands to the east are almost as cold as the Northern Heights. Forests of varying depth and abundancy grow to the east, and the weather is often rainy and chilly.
