A great expanse of desolate, barren white snow. Upon first glance it seems to be inhospitable to life, but if one is an exceptionally good hunter they might find lemmings. This is a very large area and can be deadly to traverse because there is no consistent water supply. Snowstorms are a daily occurrence.

A giant glacier moves sluggishly south. It gradually extends out across the sea, and the farther from land it grows the thinner it becomes. It is riddled with cracks. Individual icebergs float in the subzero water of the Northern ocean. A narrow ice bridge connects the glacier at its farthest point to the Unreachable Lands.

The crumbled ruins of Lord Darcia's castle. Perched on a high cliff overlooking a lake, the castle looks nothing more than a tower of rubble and skeletal foundation. However, it does provide shelter from the harsh climate. There seems to be an eternal thunderstorm here.
